I know I and many others struggle with the onslaught of email messages into their inbox making it hard to see the important emails. So Gmail has recently been updated with improvements to streamlining your inbox filtering out the mess so you can see the wood through the trees. Your inbox can now be separated into Primary, Social, Promotions, Updates & Forums.

Bunjee for new computers!

So I’ve started looking after the computers at the Scope Center in Worthing (fitzalan Centre) and was surprised to see 10years+ old computers being used in the admin office. They were originally donations from the NHS, I believe, but are unfortunately really showing their age. They would like to edit & upload their own videos of various events and fundraisers but are of course limited by the computers there.

So I'm doing a bungee jump in September in Brighton and thought it would be an ideal chance to try and raise enough money to replace one if not both PC’s in the admin office which I will build and install for free. Just need money for the parts ofc!

How do I make windows 8 look like 7??!

So recently I've had many customers contacting me with their frustration of windows 8 after purchasing a new PC. The user interface has been massively changed with whats called the metro UI which also removes the trusty old start menu. This new design is best suited to tablet devices and in my humble opinion has no place on computers operated by a keyboard and mouse. Customers are unhappy and so is everyone in the IT industry so you're certainly not alone if you don't like Windows 8!

However I do have a solution. A program called Classic Shell brings back the start menu and gives you options to change the additional windows 8 user interface features. Such as the menu that appears on the right hand side when you drag the mouse into the corner.

Amusing video from John McAfee

This amusing video from the founder of McAfee anti virus actually makes some good points about the software's somewhat annoying design and lacklustre performance. If you would like to change anti virus or do not yet have any then I personally recommend Kaspersky Anti Virus.
